Welcome
Dear Members and Anti-Doping Colleagues,
On behalf of iNADO, I warmly invite you to attend our 2023 Annual Workshop on 12-13 March 2023 at the University of Lausanne (UNIL) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Under the theme ‘Women & Anti-Doping: Working Together Towards Excellence,’ the Workshop will provide an opportunity for our member NADOs and RADOs, as well as non-member NADOs and RADOs and other anti-doping practitioners to learn and exchange ideas and practices to support advancing iNADO’s purpose of “Working Together Towards Excellence” in anti-doping.
After listening to your feedback from last year’s Workshop, we are pleased to offer only an in-person Workshop to foster high-quality discussions and longer breakout sessions for more interaction for our participants attending in-person. If you are unable to attend in-person, the presentations of all sessions will be available shortly after the Workshop for two weeks on our website. The Workshop will include a mix of plenary and breakout sessions with questions and discussion highly encouraged.
The next edition of our annual Workshop is an important one as in late 2022, iNADO turned 10. We would like to celebrate the past 10 years with you, and with our new Strategic Plan in place, look forward to what is to come.
The health and safety of all our Workshop participants are of utmost importance. As such, we will continue to base our decisions on the advice of local public health authorities in Switzerland in relation to COVID-19.
The iNADO team looks forward to welcoming you to the 2023 Annual Workshop in Lausanne, Switzerland!
Warm regards,
Jorge Leyva
CEO
Program
We are happy to share the preliminary, and the extended program which contains relevant and diverse topics with a compelling balance of organizations, speakers, practical anti-doping areas, and leadership topics.
Workshop Theme
The theme of the 2023 iNADO Annual Workshop is Women & Anti-Doping: Working Together Towards Excellence. iNADO is proudly choosing to focus our 2023 Workshop on women in anti-doping because by supporting women we work together towards excellence in anti-doping.
All organizations stand to benefit from greater equality for women, and more than ever, diversity, equity and inclusion of women is on the minds of many people and organizations alike, also in sport integrity. So, let us use this opportunity and come together to talk about this in our world of anti-doping.
Of iNADO’s 69 member NADOs and RADOs, 30 have women in a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position or similar. This amounts to 43.5 percent, a higher average than in many other industries. However, this does not mean conditions in our community are favorable for gender equality.
iNADO wishes to see all women in anti-doping, at all levels, benefiting from equal opportunities, also as athlete representatives. Therefore, we call upon our members and other anti-doping organizations and stakeholders to reflect on how good (or bad!) we are doing to support women in anti-doping. This topic is not only for women in anti-doping – it is a topic for everyone.
Alongside women in anti-doping, we will also address other practical issues in anti-doping as usual such as ADAMS, NADO to NADO and IF collaboration, education, code compliance, scientific innovations and research, and athlete representation, as well as many other important topics.
