Data Protection Policy

Here is an explanation of the processing of personal information by the iNADO website.
iNADO e.V. processes all personal data in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Directive of the European Union (EU-GDPR) and in compliance with the Telemedia Act.

1. Processing of personal data

For the purposes of the EU GDPR, personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as an individual´s name, address, e-mail address, telephone number or IP address.

a) Visit to the website of iNADO

iNADO e.V. manages the website www.inado.org. Here access data such as the name of the internet service provider, the page from which you are visiting iNADO, or the name of a file requested are saved. These data do not allow to track any personal data.
If you access our website, iNADO's servers will also automatically store your IP address, browser type and settings, your operating system and the date and duration of the visit. Based on this data, an identification of your person can be made. However, our service provider supplies iNADO with anonymous aggregated information only. Any processing of personal data does not occur. Any data processed and used is done always anonymously. The data is evaluated anonymously solely for the purpose of improving and safeguarding our online service.

b) Receipt of newsletters and registrations to iNADO events

Personal data will only be processed by iNADO if you actively make it available in one of our online services and these are necessary for the fulfilment of certain applications (e.g., when registering for iNADO events) or if you expressly agree upon the collection of personal information.
Providing personal data is necessary when using the following applications of our website:

  • When you register for our distribution list of iNADO updates;
  • If you register for one of our events

Registering to a distribution list of iNADO

INADO requires name and e-mail address to send our newsletters. After successful registration via email to info@inado.org and by providing the mentioned data, your data will be deposited and stored in the distribution list of iNADO.
Your personal data is accessible to the responsible employees of iNADO.
If the transfer of personal data to a third party (such as an external service provider) is required to provide a service or to respond to a request, iNADO will ensure, through technical and organizational measures, that the legal provisions of data protection are observed.
Your personal information will only be stored through our website on servers located within the EU and covered by the EU's General Data Protection Regulation.

Registering for an event of iNADO

INADO requires personal date to register for our events. After successful registration and by providing the mentioned data, your data will be deposited and stored on the server of iNADO.
Your personal data is accessible to the responsible employees of iNADO.

Use of the contact form

In order to answer your inquiry, we need your contact details. These are stored as part of the correspondence on the iNADO server and the online server.

c) Data deletion

The legislation has issued a variety of storage obligations and deadlines. After expiration of these deadlines, the corresponding data will be routinely deleted. If data are not required any more, they will be deleted as soon as the respective uses are removed. It is possible to delete your profile from the distribution list of iNADO at any time. Should a deletion conflict with statutory, contractual or tax law or commercial law retention requirements or other statutory reasons, instead of the deletion, a limited processing of your data can be made.

d) Transfer of data to third parties

In principle, iNADO does not pass on your personal data to third parties unless you have previously consented to the transfer of your personal data or iNADO is obliged to disclose it by law, regulations, official or court order.
iNADO also requires its external service providers (including the company responsible for the maintenance of the iNADO website) to comply with applicable data protection legislation, to treat it with confidentiality and to immediately delete personal data as soon as it is no longer needed.

e) Cookies, Google Analytics and Widgets

iNADO´s website uses “cookies”. These are text files sent to your Internet browser, to control the navigation on the Internet and to make its usability easy. As a rule, the Internet browser automatically accepts the "cookies" and saves them. You have the right to receive notifications about used "cookies" via the settings of your internet browser. Furthermore, you can reject "cookies" and prevent receipt. If your internet browsers do not accept "cookies", this may limit the usability of iNADO's online services. "Cookies" do not store personal data. The information collected during your visit to the iNADO web pages will only be temporarily saved and deleted after your visit.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Furthermore you can prevent Google’s collection and use of data (cookies and IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Analytics & Tag Manager

iNADO’s website uses the tag management system “Google Tag Manager” for managing JavaScript and HTML code snippets used to enable the implementation of tracking, analytics, personalisation and marketing performance tags and tools. This service collects aggregated data about tag firing.
iNADO’s website also uses Google Analytics with the purposes of data collection and processing. A consent is only valid for the stated purposes. The collected data can't be used or stored for any other purpose than for Analytics.

Widgets

Furthermore, iNADO uses social media widgets on its website. These include a share button Facebook and a share button Twitter. Using these applications, your browser connects directly to the servers of the social media platform, and your browser data is communicated to the social media platforms. Further information on the use of your personal data by social media platforms can be found on the respective platforms.

f) Rights of the person concerned

You have the right to request confirmation from iNADO as to whether iNADO is processing personal information about you. If this is the case, you have a right to information about these personal data and the following information:

  • the purpose of processing;
  • the categories of personal data being processed;
  • the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your personal information has been or will be disclosed, in particular to recipients in third countries or to international organizations;
  • if possible, the planned duration for which the personal data will be stored or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining that duration;
  • the right of rectification or erasure of your personal data or restriction of iNADO's processing or right to object to such processing;
  • the existence of a right of appeal to a supervisory authority;
  • if the personal data is not collected by iNADO, all available information about the source of the data;

g) Revocation of consent

You may revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time with future effect and have the data collected deleted. This also applies to consents granted before 25 May 2018. If you want to exercise your right of withdrawal, please use the email address info@inado.org. You can also submit your request to iNADO via post.


2. Publication of personal data

Other services from iNADO can contain personal data published in our website or newsletters. They include the publication of participant lists or pictures from iNADO events.

 

3. Data security

iNADO takes the necessary measures to protect your personal data and for this purpose employs appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent manipulation, alteration, destruction, loss or access by unauthorized third parties. The safety measures are constantly adapted to the technical conditions and, if necessary, revised.


4. Change of privacy policy

iNADO expressly reserves the right to change or amend the privacy policy at any time, especially if new legal requirements or technical developments necessitate a corresponding adaptation. iNADO recommends that you regularly check for possible changes by reading the data protection policy from time to time.


5. Right of appeal

You have the right to complain to a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the EU GDPR.
