Andrea Gotzmann Appointed Special Advisor of iNADO

The Institute National Anti-Doping Organisations (iNADO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Gotzmann as Special Advisor, effective from March 2024. Gotzmann brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role, having previously served in various leadership capacities within the anti-doping community. Most recently, she was CEO of the National Anti-Doping Agency Germany (NADA) from 2011-2023.

With over 40 years of dedicated service in the field of anti-doping, Gotzmann's appointment reflects iNADO's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in its operations. As Special Advisor, Gotzmann will oversee the organization's strategic direction and day-to-day operations during the transition to a new Board and CEO.  Gotzmann will work closely with stakeholders to continue to advance iNADO's mission of promoting clean sport worldwide.

"I am honored to have been entrusted with this important responsibility," said Gotzmann. "I look forward to working collaboratively with the iNADO team and our partners to further strengthen the global anti-doping effort and uphold the principles of fair play and integrity in sport.”

Prior to joining iNADO, Gotzmann served in senior roles at both national and international organisations, where she played a pivotal role in developing and implementing antidoping policies and programs. Her deep understanding of the complexities surrounding antidoping issues, coupled with her proven leadership ability, makes her an ideal candidate to lead iNADO during this transitional period.

"We are delighted to welcome Andrea to iNADO," said Nick Paterson, Chair of the iNADO Board of Directors. "Her extensive experience and commitment to clean sport make her an excellent choice to lead the organization forward as we continue to address the evolving challenges in the fight against doping in sport."

Gotzmann's appointment comes at a pivotal moment for iNADO, as the organization seeks to build upon its past successes and reinforce its position as a global leader in antidoping advocacy and education.
